Battle Of the Books Is Finally Here!


 It’s Battle Of The Books Season

Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for third, fourth and fifth grade students organized by the Douglas County Libraries. Participants are challenged to read 10 selected books in 3-4 months!!
That’s a lot of reading!
 We meet Tuesday mornings at 7:45 am in the school library.

Practice Schedule so far:
Sept. 24
Oct. 1,8,22,29
Nov. 5,12,26 ( no practice during book fair)
Dec. 3,10,17
Jan. TBA – Big School Battle
        
In January, the Parker Librarians host our school battles in the GRE library to determine which teams will represent our school in the Parker inter-school battles at the Parker Library. 
Schedule for those battles is determined in January. 
The season is from Jan. 27- March 9 with the District battle March 11.

Join this amazing club!

Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for third, fourth and fifth grade students organized by the Douglas County Libraries. Participants are challenged to read 10 selected books and write BOTB questions. We meet Tuesday mornings at 7:45 am in the school library. Come January, we ask the Parker Librarians to host our school battles to determine which teams will represent our school in the Parker inter-school battles at the Parker Library. Although it is a very intense and competitive club, it is also a lot of FUN.

Parent Meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 am
This meeting is mandatory for new prospective participants’ parents and prospective third grade participants’ parents.
